Lori Thompson

NP-C

Lori is an Adult Nurse Practitioner with over 8 years of experience as a mental health provider, following a diverse career in critical care, primary care, and nursing education. She is dedicated to enhancing her patients’ quality of life and understands that mental health profoundly affects overall well-being. Lori works closely with her patients to create personalized, holistic care plans that incorporate medications, lifestyle changes, nutrition, exercise, social connections, spiritual practices, and community support.

Her approach is integrative and patient-centered, focusing on treating the whole person rather than just symptoms or diagnoses. Lori aims to support, educate, and empower her patients to achieve their goals and live without the stigma of mental illness. Her compassion, empathy, patience, and commitment to truly listening to her patients make her a trusted provider in the mental health field.

Lori holds a master’s degree in Critical Care Nursing and an Adult Nurse Practitioner certificate from Arizona State University. She moved to the Raleigh area 20 years ago from Kansas City and is an avid Chiefs fan. Outside of work, Lori enjoys spending time with family and friends, serving at her church, traveling, playing the piano, cross-stitching, and exploring the outdoors through walking and hiking.
