Meet Dr. Lucy Magda, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Dr. Lucy Magda is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in the psychiatric mental health specialty. She fights mental illness stigma by optimizing each client’s talents to achieve health goals.

Dr. Lucy is born and raised on the eastern shore of Maryland. She began her nursing career in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where she worked to stabilize the most critically ill patients. It is there that her interest in mental health flourished as she witnessed first-hand how essential mental health is for the overall wellbeing of her patients. She realized that there is no health without mental health. Dr. Lucy’s passion for mental health enables her to treat patients across the lifespan, with a broad interest in mental health disorders including depression, anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), mood disorders, schizophrenia, addiction, etc. One of her specific interests involves treating clients with transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), one of the most cutting-edge alternatives to traditional medication management. The devotion she feels towards individuals suffering from a mental health disorder stems from the stigma that these patients face.

In her free time, Lucy enjoys hiking, creating art, and spending quality time with her pets and her family. She is not only passionate in mental health but in arts as well. Being big fan of creative expression through art, she drew every tattoo she has! Dr. Lucy loves hibachi and is a fan of classic rock.
